| Finally, after 11 days, I am back in Melbourne again!!! It was a really fun and tired trip. Although mostly of the time we were travelling on the bus, but then......it is really a bit too much...... Since we have to travel overnight quite often, we spent 4 (out of 10) nights in the bus in total...... Now I really doubt if I can keep awake when I get on a bus, because I think I have new habbit to sleep on a bus no matter when time it is and how noisy it is...... ^^"" At the beginning, we were quite excited whenever we arrived at a new place. However, our excitement get wore off after a few days, because everyday what we see is just rocks and rocks and rocks (well......we considered hills as something make up of rocks, so we grouped them together as ROCKS.......em.......anyway, all of them have the same colour - red......) The only difference between them is just the way they crack and erode......(e.g. MacDonnell RANGES, Simpsons GAP, Kings CANYON, Ayers ROCK, etc.) However, to my suprise, the desert is not as sandy as I thought it would be. Actually, I couldn't see any red sand until the fifth day...... the day that I start getting sick......=.= During the trip, I was sick for three days...... vomit at the beginning, then stomachache and diarrhoea...... finally, on the seventh day, I visit the Royal Flying Doctors ( which was one of our sight-seeing place on the third day ), and the doctor said that I was sufferring from dehydration......may be because I didn't eat at all after vomitting (you know, I don't really feel like eating after vomit......^^") Anyway, I get well on the spot ( after injectting two bags of glucose fluid ) and I was able to claim the Ayer Rock, the biggest rock in the world, on the next day. Although I didn't make all the way up to the top, I did finished two third of the journey. Actually, even if I have any chance to claim it again in the future, I won't do it anymore!!! It is just too scary!!! Although the tour guide keep reminding us that there was people fall off the rock and died, I could never imagine how difficult and dangerous it is to claim the rock until I actually reach the ground again after doing that...... (before reaching the claiming track(?), I didn't believe what the giude said; after reaching the track, I didn't want to / didn't dare to think about what happen if I fall off the rock......) At the end of the trip, we visit Coober Pedy, which is an Opal mine and where people actually live underground!!! We also visit Adelaide, and have some really good food over there. I had the best bubble tea I have ever had -- the Taro milk tea!!! (yummy~~) Anyway, now I am back in Melbourne, safe and sound, and waiting for HARRY POTTER (both the movie and the book) to come up. p.s. watching Hana Kimi 花樣少年少女 at the moment, from the YouTube......it is really funny XD |
